Mariya's multifaceted career as a performer, teacher, author, and entrepreneur has taken her to stages and schools around the world. She is currently an active teacher, player, and one of the most sought after wedding violinists in the Seattle area.
A graduate of The Boston Conservatory, she has given solo performances at festivals in Spain, Austria, Texas, and Vermont. Mariya has also organized and embarked on several solo recital tours throughout Washington State. She also currently runs a project, Music Unbarred, which organizes classical concerts in correctional facilities in Washington.
As an orchestral player, Mariya serves as associate principal viola of the Helena Symphony, and has worked with the Berklee College of Music film scoring department, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Yakima Symphony, Billings Symphony, and with the Commonwealth Lyric Theatre.
Outside of performing, Mariya is also an enthusiastic teacher, and has served as faculty at the Evergreen Music Festival, Ellensburg Summer String Academy, and the Music Conservatory of Sandpoint in Idaho.
But outside of these engagements, Mariya is best known for her social media involvement, especially her music account on Instagram, which has been featured in Strings Magazine and the Boston Voyager.
